On this day, Paul Cézanne died. He would be the father to Cubism, Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Gris, and countless others. 

Also, on the same date, my love of art begins to recede. The 20th century brought much of greatness, but in art, give me the 14th. Or 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th.
