Green Card Interview in Montreal

Told to be there 30-45mins early for 8.30 appointment
There at 7.45, told to come back "15 mins before"
There at 8.15, allowed through security.
In waiting area at 8.20.
Still in waiting area at 10.20. Asked receptionist/helper if they'd forgotten about me.
5-10mins at window, handing over birth and marriage certificates, passport and permanent residency card, wife's 1040, I864EZ and W2s.

Wait for another 10-15mins.

10mins at second window.

Asked where I'd lived, if I'd lived in the US, if I'd ever been denied entry to US. Seemed confused that I was UK-born with an Irish passport ("Northern Ireland is a Venn diagram" did not help).

Asked when and how I met my wife, when we got married, why we got married so fast ("I love her." "Hmph".) Showed picture book to demonstrate relationship.

PR card, marriage and birth certificates returned.

Told that visa application approved and that passport would be in Vancouver in 1-2 weeks.

Walked out at 11.10
